She performed on stage with her baby’s swaddle blanket tucked in her back pocket. The Grammys refused to televise the Rap category, and in protest of this racist act, for the performance she dyed the side of her shaved head with Public Enemy’s logo, to bring attention to Public Enemy’s boycott of the Grammys that year.
